If you follow me on Instagram, you know we just got back from a family reunion in Aspen Grove. But the day before we left for that, we had a big 60th birthday party for my mom since my whole family was together. Her actual birthday is June 16th, but this worked out nicely.
We may have gone a little bit overboard, but that just comes naturally to us all. It turned out great though and I think everyone had a grand old time!
The Decor
It didn't downpour or anything, but it did sprinkle off and on so it was a good idea to get the tent
We joked as people arrived that if felt like a reception, and then funnily enough someone brought my mom some flowers, so I got what looks like a wedding type photo of my mom and dad
The Guests and food
We tried to keep it smaller just by inviting the siblings of my mom and dad and their spouses and had it catered by Blue Lemon...yum.

It was a really fun evening with good food and enjoying family! I'm glad we were able to celebrate my wonderful madre! It also made a great start to our family reunion weekend extravaganza. Happy early birthday, Mom - we love you!
